Hey everyone! Ok, I've been trying to publish this post for, like, 3 days! Our internet it sometimey, but that's ok. So, I can't believe I'm actually here! It's so beautiful! So far, I have found out that I'll be working in Tomorrowland, Toontown and Fantasyland of the Magic Kingdom, which will be simply, well, magical! I have visited Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, and I will be checking out Hollywood Studios tonight. I hope to get to the Animal Kingdom soon too. But my favorite park, by far, is the Magic Kingdom. It just holds so many childhood memories for me. Here are a few pictures of the Magic Kingdom. I will be back with more photos soon!
Carousel, boy this really takes me back! The fireworks show, Wishes
Lets have a peek down Mainstreet, shall we?

Nature's Going Away Party

This was quite a treat, considering it snows like this in the Triangle once or twice a decade!

I Can't Believe

I can't believe that this time next week, I'll be lying in my bed for the last time for a few months. I wonder, will the beds there near Disney World naturally feel more magical? Something tells me I'll have to provide the mattress pad magic myself. But hey, dreams can come true! Anyway, thought I'd just reflect real quick on this semi monumental day. I know some of you reading will be saying goodbye for now, while some of you will be saying hello! I look forward to meeting ALL my new Disney friends (apparently Disney even provides friends!), but I will also miss the great friends and loved ones I have here. To the latter, thank you so much for your prayers and support, I will miss you all!

Smoother Sailing

Boy I feel silly! I was freaking out yesterday about what I would do about school, and all the time all I had to do was take a deep breath and trust God! Here's how it worked out: my college (the college of mechanical engineering) has a note on file that I will be away for an internship, and that I will be back in the fall. In the meantime, to remain enrolled at NC State, I will be taking one online course, and amazingly enough, it will be a course that I actually want to take! So, I will be simply working, studying, and hangin' out while in Florida! Hats off to that!

A Little Bumpy

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post! But as the time draws near, I thought I would update with what's happening. Honestly, nothing huge has happened since I got my acceptance letter. I have slowly been preparing to leave, and news of my internship has steadily been spreading 'round town. But as of yesterday I discovered a slight roadblock (hopefully a temporary roadblock). I have to work things out at school, to make sure I will be able to return as a full time Mechanical Engineering student. I don't know as of right now exactly what I will have to do to remain a student, and it has been slightly frustrating trying to contact the school to clear this up. All I can do is pray, pray for peace and that the Lord work it out in His way, not mine (not as easy as I hoped it would be). It is also slowly beginning to dawn on me that in about 2 1/2 weeks I will be in Florida, not North Carolina. In 2 1/2 weeks I will not wake up to see the sun pouring through my personal blinds and my brown fan overhead. I will not be able to pop into my sisters room whenever I want. I will not be able to enjoy my mom's cooking on a regular basis. I will not be able to hear my dad humming his way out to work. I will not be able to kiss my bunny good morning. I will miss all this terribly. But, daily I am also reminded of what is in store for me (if I can even fathom what's in store). I suppose we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out........
