Is Fantasyland the Busiest Part of Magic Kingdom?
So it's been awhile since my last post. Disney has been keeping me EXTREMELY busy! But I've been having a blast! So much has happened in such a short amount of time. Already I feel like a completely different person, after dealing with so many different situations, some good, some bad. As of now, we are just starting to come down from the peak season of Spring, Easter! Last week we hit capacity in the park (Magic Kingdom) for 3 days. Capacity is when the front gates are closed, not allowing any more guests in, because there are already too many people there. Lets just say that this certainly wasn't the funnest time to be working in the Magic Kingdom. I now know what it's like to work for 13 hours in a day, to work until 4 in the morning, or both combined! Whew!
Here on the temporary home front, a lot has happened in my apartment. All of my roommates and I were getting along for awhile. But with so many people living in one space, some confrontations began popping up, and 2 of my roommate ended up moving to another complex last week. Then, a couple days later, one of those roommates got termed (or fired) for reasons I still don't understand. Through all this, I celebrated my 21st birthday, partly at work, and partly with one of my bestest friends down here. So, as you can see, there have certainly been some ups and some downs, but such is life.
Here are some pictures of the fun stuff that's been happening since my last post.

More Disney News
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Disney has been working me quite a bit, this past week I worked about 45 hours. So I've been pretty tired lately, but happy still. It's amazing learning things about Disney that I never thought I'd learn. I have seen a couple rides in the Magic Kingdom empty, or not operating due to maintenance. I know how they make many of their tasty in-park treats, such as the churros (my personal favorite). I've learned how some shows and attractions are put on. And I'm having a blast learning all of this. I've also been having a ton of fun meeting new friends from all over the world! I now have friends from many parts of Asia, Turkey, South America, as well as all around North America.
Today I have the day off, which is nice, considering I am quite sleepy. I also have tomorrow off, and will be going back to the parks to play. After that, I work again. In case any of you were wondering, a day of work for me looks something like this:
- get up about 3 hours before my shift starts, usually heading out the door around 10 am
- Hop on the bus for about 30 minutes to the Magic Kingdom, stopping to get my costume on the way
- spend time backstage changing, talking to my family on the phone and eating lunch
- work my shift (usually anywhere from 8 to 12 hours).
- take the bus back home (usually there isn't much room on the bus, so I end up having to stand)
- eat dinner (or rather a midnight meal)
- go to bed

Holllywood Studios
Friday, January 30, 2009
Hey everyone! Ok, I've been trying to publish this post for, like, 3 days! Our internet it sometimey, but that's ok. So, I can't believe I'm actually here! It's so beautiful! So far, I have found out that I'll be working in Tomorrowland, Toontown and Fantasyland of the Magic Kingdom, which will be simply, well, magical! I have visited Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, and I will be checking out Hollywood Studios tonight. I hope to get to the Animal Kingdom soon too. But my favorite park, by far, is the Magic Kingdom. It just holds so many childhood memories for me. Here are a few pictures of the Magic Kingdom. I will be back with more photos soon!
Lets have a peek down Mainstreet, shall we?

I Can't Believe
I can't believe that this time next week, I'll be lying in my bed for the last time for a few months. I wonder, will the beds there near Disney World naturally feel more magical? Something tells me I'll have to provide the mattress pad magic myself. But hey, dreams can come true! Anyway, thought I'd just reflect real quick on this semi monumental day. I know some of you reading will be saying goodbye for now, while some of you will be saying hello! I look forward to meeting ALL my new Disney friends (apparently Disney even provides friends!), but I will also miss the great friends and loved ones I have here. To the latter, thank you so much for your prayers and support, I will miss you all!
